Hand Painted Bangles
This famed indigenous product category is traditionally associated with rajasthan. It is collective work of succession of artists: chudigar or the bangle manufacturer, the sunar or goldsmith, the chatera or engraver and the meenakar or enameller. An ornament is first designed in gold by artist then outlined by engraver. The enameller applies different colours on the engraved design. All known colours can be enameled on to gold, unlike silver or copper, which is why product is so in demand.
